auditions

Auditions are open to all students of The Ohio State University in every field of study.

They are held early every fall and spring quarters (check back for specific dates). No prior improv or theatre experience is necessary. Auditionees are accepted based on talent and potential. There is no set quota for number of accepted performers.

Auditions are a two-step process: Open audition and callback. Auditionees are not expected to prepare anything. Open auditions will consist of auditionees performing with each other. Callbacks will consist of auditionees performing with current 8th Floor members. The best way to succeed here is to enter with an open mind and a playful spirit. We try to keep a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This description is as serious as the audition process will get. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.

Spring Quarter Auditions

The first round will be in Pomerene Hall (the building next to Mirror Lake), room 306. The dates are:

Tuesday, April 6th -or- Thursday, April 8th

We'll be there both nights- come whichever day works best for you. The auditions start at 7 PM and should be done around 9 PM.

Callbacks will be Sunday, April 11th at 7 PM in Pomerene 306.
